1. Compulsory Attendance
Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that students meet the compulsory school attendance requirements for Hybrid School in the state of Florida. Student must attend in person for at least two days a week.
2. Graduation Requirements
To be awarded a diploma from PK-12 Virtual Academy, students must:
- Successfully complete at least 24 credits across core and elective subjects.
- Earn a minimum of 5 full credits directly through PK-12 Virtual Academy.
- Credits from other accredited institutions may be accepted upon transcript evaluation.
- All required assessments, state standards, and program-specific requirements must be met.

3. Accreditation
PK-12 Virtual Academy is in the process of accreditation. The school is recognized by the state of Florida.
- Recognized as a non-public school by the Florida Department of Education under the School Choice.
4. Tuition and Fees
- Tuition covers course materials, platform access, grading services, and teacher interaction.
- Full tuition must be paid at the time of enrollment unless on a pre-approved payment plan.
- Students may request financial assistance or scholarships via the school’s support office.
- All tuition and fees are non-refundable after the initial trial window (see refund policy).
5. Refund Policy
You may not cancel after authorizing the EMA quarterly funds. You need to
- Notifying PK-12 Virtual Academy in writing.
- Returning any physical materials in unused condition (if applicable).
- Refund eligibility:
- 📄 Paper-Based Courses: Full refund (minus processing) if no work is submitted.
- 🌐 Online Courses: No refund if any assignments/quizzes/tests have been submitted.
🛑 No refunds are provided after 7 days or if course progress has begun. Enrollments are non-transferable.
6. Course Requirements & Completion
- Courses are issued as half-credit (semester) or full-credit (year-long) units.
- Minimum course duration: 5 weeks
- Maximum completion time:
- Half-credit: 6 months
- Full-credit: 12 months
All assignments and final exams must be submitted within this time. Incomplete work results in a score of zero. Extensions require administrative approval and are granted only in documented emergencies.
7. Transfer Credit Policy
- Students may request to transfer up to 15 credits from previously attended schools.
- No transfer credit is granted for religion, driver’s education, or unaccredited coursework.
- Transcripts must be verified and officially submitted by the issuing institution.
8. Academic Integrity (Honor System)
All students are expected to follow PK-12’s Honor Code:
- All work must be original.
- Collaboration on exams or graded assignments is prohibited.
- Sharing login info or assessment answers is strictly forbidden.
- Any violation may result in grade invalidation, retaking the course, or dismissal.
9. Student Rights & Responsibilities
Students and guardians have the right to:
- Access academic records
- Request course counseling
- Participate in clubs and school activities
- File grievances or appeal grading decisions
- ” A Parentally placed private school student with a disability does not have an individual right to receive some or all of the special education and related services that the student would receive if enrolled in a public school under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act“
Students are expected to:
- Maintain regular progress
- Communicate respectfully with staff and peers
- Submit assignments on time
- Follow all tech usage, privacy, and behavioral policies
10. Communications
- Official communications are sent via registered email, parent portals, and SMS (if opted in).
- All students and parents must regularly check the learning platform for updates. students have access to Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
11. Materials & Technology
- All required materials (digital or printed) are provided with enrollment.
- Students must have access to a stable internet connection and a device compatible with the LMS.
- Any damage or loss of school-provided items may incur replacement fees.

13. Course Completion Time and Progression Plan
- Students who are 100% virtual should have 35 or more hours per course.. Students who are hybrid, 20 or more hours per course. Any student in Credit Recovery Courses, 15 or more hours per course.
- Completion of 70% or more of core curriculum (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies).
- Minimum 60% mastery on Exact Path learning path in Math and Reading.
- Evidence of grade-level proficiency through teacher assessments and portfolio review.
Attendance: Minimum 90% engagement in live classes and learning activities unless it is a self-paced course taken for course recovery or by a homeschooling student.
14. Completion & Transcript Issuance
- Official transcripts are issued after all course requirements are met and tuition is paid in full.
- Rush transcripts may be requested at an additional cost.
15. Policy Updates
PK-12 Virtual Academy may revise these policies as needed. Students and families will be notified via official communication methods. The latest version will always be available on the website.
16. Qualifications of a Classroom Teacher
PK-12 Virtual Academy hires classroom teacher with at least a Bachelors degree or above.
