PK-12 Virtual Academy Curriculum (2025)

At PK-12 Virtual Academy, our digital curriculum is fully aligned with the Florida State Standards, sourced directly from CPALMS.org. We provide a dynamic, active learning experience that engages students in rigorous online coursework, preparing them for college, careers, and lifelong success. 

Students enjoy 24/7 course access, allowing them to learn flexibly and make academic progress anytime, anywhere. 
Student understanding and achievement are continuously monitored through computer-scored formative and summative assessments, along with teacher-evaluated, project-based assignments and hands-on experiments. 

For homeschooling families, we offer even greater flexibility — if you seek a more personalized curriculum tailored to your child’s unique needs, PK-12 Virtual Academy provides a customized learning experience through our own Learning Management System (LMS). Our personalized learning plans are still based on the Florida State Standards, ensuring both quality and academic rigor while meeting the needs of every individual learner.

High School Graduation Requirements at PK-12 Virtual Academy: 

To earn a PKVA High School Diploma, students must: 

  • Complete 18 or 24 total credits
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Complete their final grading period at PK-12 Virtual Academy 

Typical Enrollment:
Students typically enroll in 6-8 credits per 10-month school year.

  • English: 4 Credits
  • Mathematics: 4 Credits
  • Science: 4 Credits
  • Social Sciences: 4 Credits
  • Fine Arts: 1 Credit
  • Personal Fitness: 0.5 Credit
  • Health/Life Management Skills: 0.5 Credit
